Born and raised in Cambodia, Siamone learned at a very early age how to cook authentic Cambodian and Thai dishes. She brought these skills and recipes to America when she moved here in 1974. Her goal and dream was to be able to share these recipes and dishes with everyone by opening her own restaurant. That dream was fulfilled in 2006, with the opening of Siamones Thai Pub in the Gala Commons Complex on Rte. 224, right across from Springfield Lake.
“This is a fun place, and it has the best Thai food around at a good price,” says host Al Lopez. "We strive to create an atmosphere where people can come in, enjoy great food and make new friends. We work hard to make all of our customers feel welcome...and they reward us time and time again by coming back--and telling their friends about us."
Since opening, people have come from all over to taste the authentic cuisine, including fans like Hall of Famer Dave Robinson of the Green Bay Packers, professional golfers Robert Allenby and Padraig Harrington, and local favorites Stan Pyatt and Jim Midock of WNIR radio in Akron.
